Do note: not every character has to take their possession so hard as Nathaniel is; the questing beast just happens to be a symbol of incest, chaos, and all sorts of not-fun stuff. Not to mention the unintentional gender-bending. Oops.

Anyhow, have any ideas/questions/comments? Then is the thread for you.

Okay, guys; since Maybe Mad isn’t getting any love, probably because there’s no particular direction the thread is going, how’s this: those who are ‘infected’ can recognize each other, even if (at this point) they don’t know exactly what they’re recognizing. This would, I imagine, give them more motivation to continue interacting. How this recognition comes about and how the character perceives it would be up to each player.

Also, a thought: it would be reasonable for your guys’ characters to assume Nathaniel has a concussion, considering he’s acting odd/disoriented without smelling like he’s been drinking, and he’s dressed nicely enough that he’s clearly not homeless.

Happier as many fictional characters than one real person.

Trust me, it isn't a lack of motivation, though I love the ideas you've posed here of course. It's mostly a lack of time on my part. I would love to be able to post in every thread on every site every day, or hell even half of them, but I have a bit more RP than I can handle right now in addition to being full time at a four year school, doing rescue work, and trying to finish the novel (I'm shooting to finish by the end of the year, hence a lot of my writing effort being directed that way). It wasn't really an issue when the sites first started, but now that we write some lengthy, seriously involved posts, it's proving extremely time consuming - more than I can commit to right now, honestly. I'm posting mostly at GF and Tower in what time I have because they're the two I feel most dedicated to. I'm hoping that if I do most of my novel writing during the week I'll have more weekend time and will be better able to stay on top of things.

I'm thinking of maybe putting Ark and Infest on the back burner for now, if that's quite alright with you. Then I can worry more about sites where my non-posting affects more pertinent plots.

I’m sorry; I have no business telling you where or when to post, and I’m mortified that I came across as doing so. In this case, I misinterpreted why you hadn’t responded; and I can see that I came across as accusatory, when I really hadn’t meant to do so. I appreciate the amount of time you put into GF and Tower despite how busy your life is, and I really, really hate that I made you justify something that never should have needed justification.

No, no. I didn't take it as an accusation, I just felt I owed an explanation because I don't want you to think that I'm just blowing off the sites. I really do love roleplaying, it's just proving to be a very time consuming hobby that comes into conflict with my schedule more often than I like.

Ah, okay; it seems I’m all about misinterpreting your motives today, eh? For what it’s worth, the recent posting rate has actually been comfortable for me, since I’m not a particularly fast writer.
